Position Summary

This is an opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a technically focused, project-driven role within a respected regional firm. The position is ideal for someone with strong experience in local soil conditions who enjoys applying practical geotechnical solutions across a diverse project portfolio.

The role offers flexibility in scope, allowing the right candidate to contribute across analysis, design, and project delivery, while also providing input on technical direction and mentoring junior team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting across a range of projects
  • Interpret subsurface investigation data with a strong understanding of Idaho soil conditions
  • Develop practical, cost-effective design recommendations for foundations and earthworks
  • Support project delivery from field investigation through design and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to technical problem-solving
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (advanced degree is a plus)
  • 7+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong technical expertise in soil mechanics and foundation design
  • Experience working on projects within Idaho or similar regional conditions
  • Effective communication and technical writing skills
