Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments (5%).
  • Subconsultant Management: Manage subconsultants (5%).
  • Engineering Team Oversight: Oversee engineering teams (5%).
  • Equipment Research: Research equipment (5%).
  • Engineering Task Administration & Delegation: Administer and delegate engineering tasks (5%).
  • Equipment Procurement: Procure equipment (5%).
  • AutoCAD Design Drawing Development: Develop design drawings using AutoCAD (10%).
  • Commissioning Reports: Prepare commissioning reports (5%).
  • Design Drawing Peer Review: Review design drawings (15%).
  • Client Management & Communications: Manage client relationships and communications (5%).
  • Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform engineering analysis and calculations (20%).
  • Inspections: Conduct inspections (5%).
  • Energy Modeling: Perform energy modeling (10%).

Qualifications

Essential
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Experience in 480 V - 34 kV electrical design, wire sizing, equipment specifications.
  • Proficiency in transformer specifications, grounding design, ETAP studies, relay schematic design, testing, and programming.
  • Experience in MV field inspections and commissioning.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, engineering analysis, and modeling software for PV and battery storage projects.
  • Strong understanding of energy, power, solar, and battery storage systems.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Interpersonal skills and eagerness to work closely in a diverse team environment.
  • Licensed Engineer-In-Training / Professional Engineer.
Preferred
  • NABCEP certified in PV Installation.
  • Familiarity with NFPA National Electrical Code.
  • OSHA-10 certified.
Education
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in engineering or documented 10 years of industry engineering experience.
  • Continuing education in solar technologies and energy-related topics.

Professional Development
