Senior MEP Manager
We are a nationally recognized general contractor delivering some of the largest and most complex data center projects in the United States. Due to continued growth in the mission‑critical space, we are seeking a Senior MEP Manager to lead MEP delivery across hyperscale and enterprise data center builds in Ohio.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for an experienced professional who understands the technical, commercial, and leadership challenges of executing large‑scale, fast‑track data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover
- Manage MEP design coordination with engineers, consultants, and trade partners
- Oversee procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of mission‑critical systems (power, cooling, life safety, controls)
- Drive schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance for all MEP packages
- Coordinate closely with project executives, superintendents, and client teams
- Review submittals, RFIs, and change management related to MEP systems
- Mentor MEP engineers and field staff, setting best practices across the project
- Support client interfacing and ensure delivery meets stringent uptime and redundancy requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing MEP scopes on large commercial or industrial projects
- Strong background in data centers, mission‑critical facilities, or advanced technology construction
- Proven experience working for a general contractor or major construction manager
- Deep knowledge of electrical distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and control systems
- Ability to lead multiple subcontractors on complex, fast‑paced projects
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing large MEP budgets
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to be site‑based in Ohio for the duration of the project
