Senior Project Controls Engineer
A leading engineering and advisory organisation is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join its Dallas‑based team, supporting the delivery of large‑scale data centre developments across the United States. This role sits at the heart of complex, fast‑paced mission‑critical projects, working alongside experienced project, construction, and commercial teams on high‑value, technically demanding programmes.
The Senior Project Controls Engineer will play a key role in overseeing all project controls functions, including cost management, schedule development, forecasting, earned value analysis, change control, and performance reporting for hyperscale and colocation data centre projects. You will be heavily involved throughout the full project lifecycle, providing accurate reporting, identifying risk and mitigation strategies, and supporting informed decision‑making at both project and client level. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client stakeholders within a live construction environment.
Candidates should bring strong experience in project controls within data centres, mission‑critical facilities, or similarly complex capital projects such as advanced manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure. Proficiency with Primavera P6 and advanced Excel is essential, alongside a solid understanding of cost control, scheduling best practices, and project governance frameworks. The ideal individual will be comfortable in a client‑facing role, able to communicate clearly, challenge assumptions when needed, and operate with a high degree of autonomy on large programmes.
This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and applicants must already hold a valid U.S. work visa or authorization to work in the United States, as this is a firm requirement.
