We're representing a top-tier general contractor and construction management firm based in the NYC metro area. With a strong track record in affordable and market-rate multifamily housing, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
This is a high-visibility role ideal for a proven leader with deep experience in urban construction, strong team management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and turnover.
Lead project teams including Assistant PMs, Supers, Engineers, and Coordinators.
Manage contracts, budgets, change orders, procurement, and risk mitigation.
Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, design teams, subcontractors, and internal staff.
Ensure work is completed in compliance with drawings, specs, safety standards, and project goals.
Coordinate closely with field teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
Report on progress, schedule updates, financial status, and risk forecasts.
Lead and participate in job meetings, walkthroughs, and client updates.
Guide project closeout, punch lists, and handover processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
8-12 years of construction project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead PM role.
Proven success managing multifamily or mixed-use projects ($30M+), ideally in NYC or similar urban environments.
Experience with public agency projects (e.g., HPD, HDC, NYCHA, DASNY) is a major plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, and project management software.
Deep understanding of cost control, scheduling, building systems, and site logistics.
