Role Overview
This senior-level engineering role focuses on water infrastructure projects and client relationship management. The successful candidate will be a recognised expert in the field, capable of leading complex projects and contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client relationships; act as primary contact for major clients.
  • Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation and presentations.
  • Define scopes of work, estimate time and resources, and secure new project work.
  • Provide technical, design, and project management services for water infrastructure projects (e.g., distribution, collection, pumping, treatment).
  • Navigate critical negotiations and controversial issues with sound judgment.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of design and construction practices to novel challenges.
  • Lead and supervise project teams, ensuring successful delivery across all phases.
  • Engage in professional development, mentoring, and industry representation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in relevant jurisdiction or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and standard engineering design software.
  • Strong presentation, technical writing, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven track record in business development and client engagement.
  • Deep understanding of consulting business operations including finance, IT, and HR.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations and public/professional advocacy.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
