Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high‑quality geotechnical reports, specifications, construction plans, and detailed engineering recommendations.
- Manage project proposals, coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, oversee client communication, and handle project billings.
- Mentor, train, and provide technical oversight for junior and mid‑level engineering staff.
- Lead excavation support design, including slope stability analysis, foundation systems, retaining wall evaluations, and Plaxis 3D modeling.
- Log borings, perform field observations, and support construction phase services.
- Oversee multiple concurrent geotechnical projects while tracking budgets, schedules, and deliverable timelines.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with senior leadership, environmental teams, civil designers, and field personnel.
- Provide exceptional technical judgment and ensure the delivery of resilient, economical, and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
- Strong background in geotechnical investigations, field oversight, and construction inspections.
- Experience with earthwork, driven/drilled pile systems, load testing, footings, backfill inspection, ground improvement, retaining wall design, and excavation support systems.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software such as gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, or SHAKE preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across offices.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for client visits and site travel.
