Senior Quality Control Program Manager
Director of Quality - Renewable Energy (Solar & BESS)
The Opportunity
We're partnering with a growing renewable energy contractor delivering utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the U.S. They're looking to bring on a senior Quality leader to oversee QA/QC across a portfolio of active projects.
This is a high-impact role responsible for setting quality standards, driving consistency across sites, and working closely with field teams, clients, and leadership.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead QA/QC programs across multiple concurrent solar and BESS projects
- Develop and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), SOPs, and testing standards
- Oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning, and turnover processes
- Drive consistency in inspections, documentation, and quality reporting across all sites
- Act as the primary quality contact for clients, OEMs, and regulatory bodies
- Support audits, NCR tracking, and corrective action processes
- Standardize quality requirements across installation scopes (pile, tracker, DC, grounding, MV, BESS integration)
- Identify trends, implement improvements, and strengthen overall quality performance
- Mentor QA/QC teams and promote a strong safety and quality culture
What They're Looking For
- 10+ years of QA/QC experience within construction or energy projects
- Strong background in utility-scale solar, BESS, or industrial construction
- Experience building or leading quality programs across multiple projects
- Knowledge of electrical and civil construction standards
- Strong documentation, audit, and reporting capabilities
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with site teams, leadership, and clients
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain quickly); CPR/First Aid a plus
- Willingness to travel to project sites
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
