The Role
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a background in forensics and/or repair & restoration to lead a growing office in Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, business-oriented, and confident in both technical execution and client engagement. The successful candidate will manage investigations, guide restoration strategies, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients while building and mentoring a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead forensic investigations and structural assessments.
- Oversee repair and restoration design and execution.
- Serve as the primary client contact and regional representative.
- Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop business opportunities and maintain client relationships.
- Ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Present findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
- Represent the firm at industry events and professional forums.
Key Qualifications
- PE license in Florida required; SE license is a plus.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering; M.S in Structural Engineering preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, ideally in forensics and/or repair & restoration.
- Proven expertise in forensics, repair, and restoration.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Business development experience is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Florida building codes and market is a plus.
