[SIN] Commissioning Director - Data Center
A senior M&E Commissioning Director to lead commissioning strategy and delivery across large-scale, mission‑critical data center projects within the APAC region. This role combines deep mechanical and electrical technical expertise with strong team leadership to drive consistent, high‑quality commissioning outcomes across multiple projects and markets.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and define commissioning strategy across a portfolio of data center projects in APAC
- Provide executive-level oversight of M&E commissioning from construction through handover and operational readiness
- Act as the senior technical authority for mechanical and electrical systems
- Lead, mentor, and manage commissioning managers, engineers, and site teams across the region
- Establish and enforce commissioning standards, governance, and best practices
- Oversee integrated systems testing, performance verification, and reliability validation
- Partner closely with construction teams to resolve complex technical and interface issues
- Engage with clients, operators, consultants, and contractors at senior and executive levels
- Ensure commissioning delivery aligns with programme milestones, risk management, and quality objectives
- Drive consistency, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across regional teams
- Support talent development, succession planning, and long-term capability building
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- 15+ years of experience in M&E engineering and commissioning
- 10+ years of experience within data center or mission-critical facilities environments
- Proven experience in a senior leadership or director-level commissioning role
- Deep technical expertise across mechanical and electrical building systems
- Demonstrated success managing and scaling multi-site or regional commissioning teams
- Strong understanding of construction-phase commissioning and systems integration
- Experience working with general contractors, specialist subcontractors, and consultants
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior client leadership
- Ability to operate across multiple projects in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments
- Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required
