ST LOUIS | Transportation Project Engineer
Our client is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer to join their transportation team in the St. Louis area. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of roadway, streetscape, pedestrian, and transportation infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals.
The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation design and a desire to continue growing into project leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs for roadway, pedestrian, and transportation infrastructure projects
- Develop reports, studies, calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Assist with drainage, highway geometry, and traffic-related design elements
- Conduct field investigations and site visits as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Support project delivery efforts from preliminary design through final construction documents
- Contribute to maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Work closely with senior engineers and project managers on a variety of transportation projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer Intern (EI) certification with a clear path toward licensure
- Minimum of 4 years of civil engineering experience, preferably within transportation or roadway design
- Experience designing roadway, street, highway, or multimodal transportation projects
- Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Geopak, PowerGeopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar design software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
