The Role
Our client is seeking a Structural Design Technician to join its team and support the delivery of structural engineering projects. Working closely with engineers and project managers, you will be responsible for developing BIM models, producing structural drawings, and assisting with project documentation from concept through construction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their technical skills within a collaborative and fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Produce structural drawings, plans, and construction documentation.
- Develop and maintain structural BIM and Revit models.
- Assist with 3D modelling and project visualisation.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support project delivery.
- Coordinate structural information within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure models and drawings meet project standards and deadlines.
- Assist with project documentation and drawing revisions.
- Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented design environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Revit within the AEC industry.
- Experience producing structural drawings preferred.
- Understanding of structural engineering projects and design workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Ability to manage priorities and work to project deadlines.
- Experience with BIM workflows is advantageous.
