My client is a specialist structural engineering and building consulting firm known for its deep expertise in structural design, building rehabilitation, and restoration. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with structural analysis and design for new and existing buildings using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Conducting field investigations, site observations, and condition assessments.
  • Preparing engineering reports, repair recommendations, and construction documents.
  • Supporting modelling and drafting efforts using 2D and 3D design tools in coordination with CAD/Revit teams.
  • Participating in construction-phase services, including on-site inspections and contractor coordination.
  • Collaborating with senior engineers on restoration, façade, parking structure, waterproofing, and structural repair projects.
  • Providing technical support across project phases, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to schedule.
  • Engaging in continuous learning and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required, PE or ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in structural engineering
  • Foundational knowledge of structural design using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Familiarity with building envelope systems, waterproofing, or restoration work is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
  • Proficiency with structural design software and modelling tools (e.g., RISA, SAP, STAAD, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Desire to grow into a role involving project engineering, technical leadership, and client-facing responsibilities.
