LVI Associates is partnering with a reputable civil engineering firm that is expanding its capabilities into structural engineering. We are seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to spearhead this new division, with a focus on residential projects. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a structural team within an established company, shape project delivery standards, and play a key role in strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural engineering function for residential projects, including single-family homes, multi-family developments, and custom builds.
  • Oversee structural analysis, design, and documentation in compliance with local codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the civil team, architects, and developers to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians; assist in hiring and team development.
  • Establish workflows, quality control procedures, and design standards for the structural group.
  • Engage with clients, attend project meetings, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in [Insert State] or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 7+ years of structural engineering experience, with a strong portfolio of residential projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., RISA, ETABS, RAM) and familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and lead a new team.
