A well-established heavy civil and water infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the field execution of complex water and wastewater treatment plant, pump station, and lift station projects throughout the Tampa Bay area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys managing large-scale municipal infrastructure projects and wants to be part of a growing organization with a strong backlog of work across Florida.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field operations on water/wastewater treatment plant, pump station, and lift station projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and self-perform crews.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved.
- Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site.
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, and municipal clients.
- Oversee concrete, mechanical, piping, structural, and site construction activities.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Lead project meetings, daily planning sessions, and progress reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience on water/wastewater treatment plant, pump station, lift station, or related heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of treatment process structures, underground utilities, mechanical systems, concrete, and site work.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and field personnel.
- Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- OSHA certification preferred.
