Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician with experience in Tridium Niagara and Distech building automation systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC control systems to ensure optimal building performance and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain Tridium Niagara and Distech control systems.
- Configure and program controllers, sensors, and network devices for HVAC and building automation.
- Perform system integration, including BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in control systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and service activities.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Tridium Niagara Framework and Distech Controls.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building automation principles.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, routers).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred: Niagara AX/N4 certification, Distech Controls certification.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building automation or controls.
