Technical Project Manager - Liquid Cooling Systems

Role Overview:
A growing engineering and technology firm is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Liquid Cooling / Advanced Cooling Systems) to support the delivery of cutting-edge cooling infrastructure for mission-critical facilities.

This is not a traditional project management role. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with water treatment, complex fluid systems, commissioning, or high-purity environments-and has evolved into a role where they can coordinate people, processes, and technical execution.

This position will interface directly with hyperscale operators, colocation providers, OEMs, and contractors to ensure successful system delivery during the most critical phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate execution of advanced cooling system projects from early engagement through commissioning
  • Maintain project schedules, scopes, risks, and interdependencies
  • Act as a technical liaison across clients, field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Track commissioning readiness, testing requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate technical challenges (e.g., water chemistry, cleanliness, system readiness) into project-level impacts
  • Support field teams during key onsite activities as needed
  • Ensure high-quality project documentation and reporting
  • Identify risks early and proactively drive mitigation strategies

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Water treatment or industrial fluid systems
    • Commissioning engineering or commissioning management
    • Complex mechanical or process systems
    • High-purity environments (e.g., semiconductor, electronics, pharma)
  • Strong client-facing experience
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Travel: ~50%

Education & Certifications (Preferred):

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) or related technical field
  • Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus, but not required
