A specialty chemical company is seeking a Wastewater Technical Consultant to provide onsite support to their wastewater chemistry customers. This role involves onsite visits, trouble shooting, and consultative prescriptions across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have a chemistry background in water/wastewater chemical applications and experience in municipal and industrial wastewater. The position offers the opportunity to represent a company known for its long-term expertise in creative chemistry solutions.
Responsibilities
- Onsite technical support and troubleshooting across the upper Midwest
- Consultative assistance in in municipal, F&B, and general manufacturing industries
- Ability to translate customer needs and pain-points into actionable items for engineering, field service, and sales staff.
- Providing feedback to sales staff, and developing materials for their use in building new business
- Prospect for new business and identify market opportunities
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field is required
- 3+ years of technical experience in industrial water and wastewater treatment chemistry
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel to accounts for prompt service
