Multi-Modal Transportation Planning and Design: Design and evaluate transportation systems that accommodate all modes of travel, including pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and motorists. Apply best practices in complete streets design, accessibility, and active transportation planning to create inclusive and equitable mobility networks.
Travel Demand Modeling: Utilize travel demand forecasting tools such as Trans-CAD and CUBE to model current and future travel patterns. Interpret model outputs to inform transportation planning decisions and infrastructure investments.
Corridor Planning and Concept Development: Develop conceptual designs and planning strategies for multimodal corridors. Integrate land use, transportation, and environmental considerations to create holistic and forward-thinking corridor plans.
Safety and Operational Studies: Conduct safety analyses using crash data, roadway geometry, and traffic operations data. Identify safety concerns and recommend countermeasures to enhance roadway safety for all users.
ITS Planning and Design: Participate in the planning and design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), including traffic signal systems, communication networks, and advanced traffic management strategies. Collaborate with engineers and technologists to implement smart mobility solutions.
Signal Design and Traffic Engineering: Prepare traffic signal design plans, including phasing diagrams, timing plans, and equipment specifications. Support the development of signing, striping, and lighting plans in accordance with local and national standards.
GIS Analysis and Mapping: Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze spatial data, visualize transportation networks, and support planning studies. Create maps and graphics that effectively communicate technical findings to clients and stakeholders.
Project Management and Coordination: Manage project tasks, schedules, and deliverables. Coordinate with internal teams, sub-consultants, and clients to ensure high-quality outcomes. Monitor project budgets and timelines to maintain efficiency and client satisfaction.
Client Engagement and Business Development: Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and public forums.
