Vice President of Site/Civil - Bohemia, NY (Long Island)
About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Vice President - Land Development to lead and expand our land development operations. This senior leadership role is ideal for an individual with a proven track record of delivering complex projects, building high-performing teams, and driving business growth. The Vice President will oversee the full project lifecycle-from acquisition support and due diligence through design, permitting, and constructional serving as a trusted advisor to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership and oversight for all land development projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability.
Direct and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
Guide land acquisition evaluations, feasibility studies, entitlement strategies, and risk assessments.
Oversee planning, engineering, permitting, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Build and strengthen client relationships, serving as a key point of contact for developers, municipalities, and private-sector partners.
Develop and implement strategic growth initiatives for the land development practice, including market expansion and new service offerings.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and project financial performance, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Represent the organization in business development efforts, industry events, and professional associations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) licence strongly preferred.
15+ years of progressive experience in civil/site engineering and land development, including at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role.
Extensive knowledge of land entitlement, permitting, zoning, and infrastructure design processes.
Strong business acumen with experience in P&L management and growth strategy.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Established network within the land development, real estate, or construction industries.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $180,000
