Vice President of Water Wastewater
LVI Associates are partnered with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm here in the Kansas Cit region to identify a Vice President to lead one of their core technical divisions (Water Wastewater). This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for people leadership, technical excellence, client delivery, and strategic growth within the division.
The Vice President will play a critical role in shaping the division's water wastewater direction, strengthening client relationships across the Midwest, and ensuring high-quality project execution while aligning with the firm's overall vision and values.
Leadership & People Management
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to technical and project delivery teams within the division
- Mentor, develop, and retain high-performing engineering and technical staff
- Oversee resource planning and workload management to support project demands and staff utilization
Technical & Project Oversight
- Uphold and strengthen the technical reputation and standards of the division
- Oversee project execution, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to established quality standards
- Identify and manage technical and project-related risks
Client & Business Development
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, supporting long-term relationships across Kansas/Missori
- Promote division services internally and externally, contributing to ongoing business development efforts
- Collaborate with leadership across other divisions to deliver integrated solutions
Operations & Strategy
- Lead divisional planning, budgeting, and cost management
- Develop and implement division-specific business practices, engineering procedures, and quality controls
- Monitor division efficiency and continuously improve engineering and production processes
- Support and execute the firm's broader strategic initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related professional discipline
(Geology, Surveying, Construction Management, or Project Management experience also considered) - 15+ years of experience in the design and construction industry
- Proven experience leading technical teams or divisions
- Strong understanding of current construction and engineering industry trends
- Experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients, staff, and executive leadership
