  • Evaluate existing system conditions, identify improvement opportunities, develop conceptual solutions, and provide implementation recommendations.
  • Assess life-cycle costs, permitting considerations, and operational impacts of proposed improvements.

Infrastructure Design & Project Delivery

  • Contribute to the design, permitting, and construction of water infrastructure projects.
  • Perform engineering calculations and support the design of water supply, treatment, pumping, conveyance, and distribution systems.
  • Assist with the development of bid packages and construction documents for water supply facilities, including wells and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other technical consultants throughout project delivery.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Perform technical analyses to support planning studies, alternatives evaluations, infrastructure design, and decision-making processes.

GIS & Mapping

  • Utilize GIS software to support system planning, infrastructure routing, wellfield development, and technical mapping.
  • Develop visualizations and spatial analyses to support project recommendations.

Quality Assurance

  • Apply established QA/QC procedures to calculations, analyses, reports, and design deliverables.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance across project documentation.

Technical Reporting

  • Prepare engineering reports, memoranda, calculations, exhibits, and supporting documentation under the guidance of senior technical staff.
  • Present findings clearly to internal teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.

Professional Development

  • Work closely with licensed Professional Engineers who provide mentorship, technical oversight, and support toward long-term career growth and professional licensure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • EIT certification or PE license, or a clear path toward obtaining professional registration.
  • 3-5 years of experience in water resources, municipal infrastructure, or water utility engineering.
  • Experience supporting the planning, evaluation, or design of water infrastructure systems, including wells, intakes, treatment facilities, pipelines, pumping stations, or related assets.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations and contribute to technical design packages.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Working knowledge of GIS platforms including ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively on complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or another PE-eligible engineering discipline.
  • Experience preparing Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs), alternatives analyses, or feasibility studies.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory compliance related to water and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Exposure to hydraulic modeling software for water distribution or stormwater systems.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
