About the Opportunity
A leading consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Project Manager to support the planning, design, and delivery of sustainable water resources projects. The role focuses on conveyance, storage, and distribution systems for potable water, recycled water, and wastewater, with an emphasis on technical leadership and multidisciplinary coordination.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys project ownership, client interaction, and guiding technical teams on impactful infrastructure projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multi‑disciplinary project teams.
- Oversee engineering design efforts, CAD production, and supporting technical staff.
- Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
- Conduct system modeling, hydraulic calculations, and process analyses.
- Prepare and review construction documents, including plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction‑phase support.
- Prepare cost estimates and support feasibility and master planning efforts.
- Develop environmental permitting documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and external partners.
- Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support business development, including proposal preparation and technical content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of professional experience in water/wastewater or water resources engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead engineer or project manager.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (California preferred).
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with hydraulic or system modeling tools a plus.
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
- Ability to lead project teams and interface directly with clients.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently.
Compensation
