Water Resources Team Lead
Our client is seeking a senior-level Water Resources Team Lead to lead and expand a high-performing team delivering innovative and technically rigorous water infrastructure solutions. This leadership role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects across public infrastructure, energy, real estate, and environmental restoration sectors.
You will oversee complex projects including dam rehabilitation, utility infrastructure design, stream restoration, and floodplain analysis. In addition to technical leadership, you will mentor junior staff, guide professional development, and play a key role in client engagement and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water resources projects from planning through execution
- Provide technical oversight in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, design, and permitting
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support practice expansion
- Review engineering designs and reports, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
- Support construction administration and project delivery
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 12+ years of experience in water resources engineering, including:
- Hydrology & hydraulics
- Dam safety
- Utility infrastructure
- Stream restoration
- Proficiency in modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, or similar
- Proven leadership and client management experience
- Experience with public sector projects is preferred
