West Coast Industrial Wastewater Sales Manager

A well-established U.S.-based manufacturer of industrial water treatment systems is seeking a qualified candidate to lead sales efforts for water and wastewater treatment equipment in the Western United States. The company has a long history of innovation and serves a diverse range of industrial sectors including processing, manufacturing, and facility operations.

This role is based near a major airport in the Western U.S. and includes responsibilities for supporting existing product lines related to industrial equipment. The position focuses on developing new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, and managing regional distributors specializing in water systems and related technologies. This role reports directly to a senior sales executive.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in assigned territories or verticals.
  • Coordinate internal resources to meet customer needs and ensure successful onboarding.
  • Achieve sales targets and strategic goals within designated regions.
  • Participate in territory planning to set performance objectives and financial targets.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to support business growth.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Drive pipeline growth through lead nurturing, direct outreach, and campaign execution.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful direct sales experience in wastewater, food processing, beverage, or water treatment industries.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the water solutions sector is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing distributor relationships is a plus.
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sales, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to close.
  • Background in capital equipment, water systems, pumps, or wastewater sales.
  • Chemistry knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise.
  • High level of professional communication, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated success in developing prospecting plans and executing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools.
  • Energetic and proactive attitude with a passion for learning and growth.
