A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking experienced Project Managers to support infrastructure projects across the Colorado Front Range. Opportunities are available in the Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs markets, offering a strong backlog of work and excellent long-term career growth.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee projects from award through closeout, ensuring successful delivery while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals. This role is ideal for someone with a strong construction background who enjoys working closely with field operations and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil construction projects from startup through completion
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, owners, and engineers
- Oversee procurement, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Monitor project performance and profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and contract requirements
- Support preconstruction efforts and project planning
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction
- Experience with some combination of:
- Concrete paving
- Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm)
- Roadway and transportation projects
- Earthwork and excavation
- Municipal and civil infrastructure
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
