About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a rapidly growing infrastructure developer and owner that is investing heavily in large-scale, next-generation data center campuses across the United States.
This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced electrical engineering professional to build and lead the electrical engineering function for a growing data center platform. You'll serve as the technical authority for electrical systems across a portfolio of mission-critical projects while establishing standards, driving innovation, mentoring engineers, and influencing major business decisions.
Unlike many leadership roles, this position offers the opportunity to have a significant impact on the direction of the organization, build out your own team, and create the engineering processes and standards that will support future growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead the electrical engineering strategy for hyperscale and mission-critical data center developments
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and quality requirements across the organization
- Build, mentor, and lead a growing team of electrical engineers
- Oversee design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout project development and delivery
- Drive decisions related to power distribution, backup power systems, grounding, controls, and critical infrastructure
- Review and approve equipment selections, vendor standards, and technical specifications
- Partner with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and external partners to develop Basis of Design and project requirements
- Support construction, commissioning, and operations teams with technical expertise and problem-solving
- Evaluate emerging technologies, equipment, and design approaches to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Help shape the long-term vision and growth of the company's data center engineering organization
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience within data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, or similarly complex environments
- Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage power systems, backup power generation, and critical electrical infrastructure
- Experience reviewing designs and managing engineering deliverables through all project phases
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing, mentoring, or building engineering teams
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions across multiple disciplines
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including NEC
- PE license preferred but not required
- Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
