A respected MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to join its growing Atlanta-area team. This leadership role combines technical design, project management, and client engagement across complex projects in the mission critical, life sciences, healthcare, commercial, and institutional sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC and mechanical system design from concept through construction
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and code analysis
- Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and client relationships
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Oversee QA/QC reviews and construction administration activities
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- PE license required
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in an MEP consulting environment
- Experience with healthcare, laboratory, mission critical, or high-performance buildings
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, HAP, and related HVAC design tools
- Strong project management and client-facing skills
