Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Atlanta office. This role involves leading the design of electrical systems for complex commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and a collaborative mindset to support project delivery and mentor junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency generation, fire alarm, and security.
Develop cost-effective layouts and specifications while ensuring code compliance.
Produce and coordinate BIM drawings across all project phases.
Lead construction administration tasks such as site visits, shop drawing reviews, and punch lists.
Manage project scope, schedules, and client expectations.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and code officials.
Mentor junior engineers and designers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial buildings.
7+ years leading multi-discipline engineering teams.
PE license preferred but not required.
Proficient in Revit MEP and Microsoft Office 365.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes.
Experience with various project delivery methods (design-build, fast-track, etc.).
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
