I'm partnering with a respected multidisciplinary MEP consulting engineering firm that is looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to lead electrical design efforts on complex projects across healthcare, life sciences, education, commercial, municipal, and institutional markets.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring technical staff, working directly with clients, and serving as a key contributor throughout the design and construction process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the electrical design of new construction and renovation projects
- Develop construction documents for:
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Coordinate with internal MEP disciplines throughout project delivery
- Support project managers and help drive project success
- Direct and mentor engineers and designers assigned to projects
- Attend client meetings and design review sessions
- Perform construction administration and site visits during project execution
- Develop practical design solutions and proactively resolve technical challenges
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5+ years of electrical building systems design experience
- Strong experience producing construction documents in Revit and related design software
- Experience with lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm system design
- Healthcare project experience is highly desirable
- Experience with medium-voltage systems and/or IT/telecom infrastructure is a plus
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
