Wind Project Developer (m/f/d) - Berlin
Our client is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, with its office based in Berlin and a strong pipeline of wind energy projects across Northern Germany. The company offers the opportunity to actively contribute to its growth strategy, as it continues to secure and develop new onshore wind projects, playing a key role in the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess potential sites for onshore wind development
- Secure land through negotiations with landowners and support contract structuring
- Coordinate environmental studies, technical assessments, and external consultants
- Manage and support permitting processes, ensuring all requirements are met up to approval
- Act as a central point of contact for municipalities, authorities, and local stakeholders
- Monitor permitting risks, timelines, and development costs
- Prepare projects for handover into the construction phase ("ready-to-build")
Your Background:
- Degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Studies
- At least 5 years of experience in wind project development
- Strong knowledge of German permitting frameworks (e.g. BImSchG) is a plus
- Experience dealing with landowners, public bodies, or community stakeholders
- Organised and proactive working style with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple interfaces
- Confident in using project management tools and MS Office
