Senior Project Engineer
Transportation-focused engineering consultancy delivering infrastructure solutions for state and local agencies, with a strong emphasis on Florida DOT projects. The organization supports major highway, bridge, and civil construction programs through Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) services, helping ensure projects are built safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs
- Review programs for conformance with FDOT standards
- Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures
- Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members
- Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration
- Oversee inspector adherence to technical standards and provide decisions on technical questions
- Perform QC and constructability reviews
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida
- Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state
- Six (6) years of engineering experience
- Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II
- FDOT Advanced MOT
- CTQP Quality Control Manager
- To be achieved by Project NTP, if CEI Project Administrator/ Project Engineer holds qualification at time of proposal
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
