Senior Project Manager- Site/ Civil

The Opportunity
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through construction, while supporting business development efforts and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage land development and site civil engineering projects through all phases of delivery.
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality assurance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff across multiple experience levels.
- Review engineering plans, reports, and specifications for technical accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with public agencies, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support proposal preparation, fee development, and business development initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership in site design, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting.
- Lead project meetings and assist with presentations and agency approvals.
- Manage project financial performance, invoicing, and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC, or the ability to obtain licensure.
- 15+ years of experience in land development and site civil engineering.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and client relationships.
- Strong understanding of permitting and development processes within Mid-Atlantic jurisdictions.
- Experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D and/or Micro-Station.
- Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
- Stormwater modelling using Hydra flow, Hydro CAD, Storm & Sanitary Analysis, or similar software.
- Site grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion and sediment control design.
- Business development experience and involvement in professional industry organisations.
- Experience preparing proposals, negotiating scopes, and managing additional services.
