Site Development Lead
Responsibilities
- Conduct project research, develop design solutions, and produce plans and technical documents for assigned civil engineering tasks
- Prepare construction drawings for a variety of public and private infrastructure projects, including grading, roadway and highway improvements, drainage systems, and water/wastewater utilities-from early concepts through final design packages
- Support construction-phase activities such as reviewing submittals, responding to field questions, and assisting with overall administration
- Contribute to the development of proposals, technical reports, project timelines, cost estimates, specifications, and contract-related documentation
- Foster clear communication and effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and external partners
- Plan and manage your workload, and when needed, help coordinate the efforts of other team members to ensure project objectives are met within budget and schedule
- Work closely with discipline specialists, multi‑disciplinary project teams, and sub-consultants to ensure cohesive project delivery
- Provide assistance to Project Managers on client coordination and general project management tasks
- Offer guidance to Civil Engineers and CAD staff as needed
- Participate in mentoring and developing junior engineering team members
Professional Qualifications
- Five to eight (5-8) years of experience delivering civil infrastructure projects such as roadway design, drainage systems, and water/wastewater improvements
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (corridors, alignments, surfaces, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with StormCAD and ArcMap is beneficial
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and build productive working relationships
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering
