Our client, a dynamic and fully employee-owned architecture-engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Atlanta team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where innovation and ownership go hand in hand.
What You'll Do:
- Lead structural engineering efforts from concept through construction
- Perform calculations, analyses, and prepare reports
- Develop drawings and specifications in coordination with other disciplines
- Mentor junior engineers across multiple office locations
- Contribute to business development through proposals and client engagement
- Support construction administration with site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews
Experience Needed:
- 10+ years of design experience, especially with steel and concrete structures
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, RAM Structural Systems, RISA, ETABs, Mathcad, and other design tools
- Strong grasp of IBC, ASCE 7, and other relevant codes
- Bachelor's or higher in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- PE license in Georgia or ability to obtain reciprocity within 3 months
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and obtain security clearance
Desired:
- Experience with federal and industrial projects
- Familiarity with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build procurement
- Background in blast design
- Advanced degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering
