The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their team in a fully remote capacity, aligned to either the Chicago or Detroit market.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structural analysis and design for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use buildings
- Produce calculations, specifications, and construction documentation
- Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams across disciplines
- Contribute to project planning, coordination, and design development
- Support construction administration (RFIs, site visits, reviews)
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, etc.)
- Participate in value engineering and design optimisation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience
- PE license or actively working towards it
- Experience with tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, SAFE, or similar
- Working knowledge of Revit/BIM workflows
- Strong understanding of US building codes and design standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
