Technical Oversight
- Review and approve PLC and HMI code, electrical schematics, and panel layouts.
- Support debug, FAT/SAT, and on-site commissioning as needed.
- Own and evolve Live Automation's controls programming standards and templates.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose both electrical and mechanical system issues, independently or in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Team Mentorship & Support
- Guide junior controls engineers and mechatronics team members through project execution.
- Provide technical feedback and conduct code/design reviews.
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to ensure seamless system integration.
Process & Improvement
- Support continuous improvement efforts across design, programming, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the controls workflow and propose solutions.
Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting skills across both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proven experience leading controls projects from design through commissioning.
- Strong understanding of industrial control panels, sensors, VFDs, safety devices, and I/O.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience with robotics integration, SCADA, or motion control.
- Previous experience mentoring engineers or leading small technical teams.
