Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Oversight

  • Lead complex structural design initiatives across hospitality, housing, and mixed-use developments
  • Ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders

Business Development

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with developers, architects, and industry partners
  • Identify new opportunities within existing client portfolios and emerging markets
  • Contribute to proposal development and strategic positioning for new work

Mentorship and Team Leadership

  • Provide guidance and support to engineers and technical staff across offices
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth
  • Lead by example in communication, problem-solving, and client engagement

Sector Expertise

  • Apply deep knowledge of hospitality and housing design standards, construction practices, and client expectations
  • Translate sector-specific insights into efficient, scalable engineering solutions
  • Represent the firm in industry forums, client meetings, and strategic discussions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET/EAC accredited)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with significant exposure to hospitality and housing projects
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to travel for client meetings and site visits as needed
