Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Oversight
- Lead complex structural design initiatives across hospitality, housing, and mixed-use developments
- Ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
Business Development
- Cultivate and expand relationships with developers, architects, and industry partners
- Identify new opportunities within existing client portfolios and emerging markets
- Contribute to proposal development and strategic positioning for new work
Mentorship and Team Leadership
- Provide guidance and support to engineers and technical staff across offices
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth
- Lead by example in communication, problem-solving, and client engagement
Sector Expertise
- Apply deep knowledge of hospitality and housing design standards, construction practices, and client expectations
- Translate sector-specific insights into efficient, scalable engineering solutions
- Represent the firm in industry forums, client meetings, and strategic discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET/EAC accredited)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with significant exposure to hospitality and housing projects
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
- Ability to travel for client meetings and site visits as needed
