We are currently seeking an experienced Tunnel Engineer with proven Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) expertise to join a leading infrastructure team delivering a major underground project in Washington, D.C.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support TBM operations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with geotechnical, structural, and environmental teams to manage tunneling activities.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor tunnel progress, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Prepare engineering reports, risk assessments, and quality documentation.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with hands-on TBM involvement.
- Strong understanding of ground conditions, tunnel lining systems, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
