Tunnel Engineer - Washington, D.C.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum

We are currently seeking an experienced Tunnel Engineer with proven Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) expertise to join a leading infrastructure team delivering a major underground project in Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support TBM operations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Collaborate with geotechnical, structural, and environmental teams to manage tunneling activities.
Conduct site inspections, monitor tunnel progress, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Prepare engineering reports, risk assessments, and quality documentation.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with hands-on TBM involvement.
Strong understanding of ground conditions, tunnel lining systems, and construction methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Authorization to work in the United States.
