Water Lead - Omaha,NE

Our client is looking to add a Professional Engineer to their Civil & Water Systems team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone ready to take on both technical and project management responsibilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties:

  • Conduct sanitary sewer evaluation studies, including flow data analysis, inspection review, hydraulic modeling, and rehabilitation planning

  • Support and track field inspection efforts, including flow monitoring, CCTV/cleaning, manhole inspections, and smoke testing

  • Prepare job specifications and contract documents for bidding

  • Perform quantity calculations and develop construction cost estimates

  • Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget, as outlined in project scopes

  • Lead internal QA/QC processes for assigned projects

Project Management:

  • Define project scopes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

  • Lead project planning, task delegation, and scheduling

  • Manage project teams and provide technical guidance, coaching, and support

  • Communicate clearly with clients on project goals, timelines, risks, and deliverables

  • Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget

  • Maintain and grow client relationships while supporting business development and market growth initiatives

  • Contribute to team KPI and performance goals


Qualifications

Education & Licensing:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with tools such as ArcGIS, Innovyze modeling products, Fulcrum, Granite XP, and Waterspout

  • Familiarity with Lucity is a plus

  • Working knowledge of design standards (AASHTO, MUTCD, WEG, APWA, AWWA)

  • Understanding of municipal and state agency standards

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication

  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
