Mechanical Engineer
Position Overview
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on developing innovative hardware solutions in the water technology space. This role involves end-to-end involvement in the design and development of mechanical systems, from early-stage concepts to production-ready products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process for new products and systems.
- Translate user needs and technical requirements into functional designs.
- Develop and test mechanical components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing.
- Optimise designs for performance and cost.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including fluid dynamics and materials science.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and simulation software.
- Experience with prototyping and transitioning designs to mass production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience water treatment design
- Experience in design of volumetric pumps, centrifugal pumps and closed circuits
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Experience in product development for environmental or infrastructure-related technologies.
- Creative thinker with a systems-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
