Position Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer
Department: Building Performance Studio
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Schedule with Flexible Fridays
Location: Office-based with hybrid flexibility within downtown Chicago
Role Overview
An established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to support the expansion of its Building Performance team. The selected candidate will lead various commissioning projects, including:
- Code commissioning
- LEED enhanced commissioning
- Retro-commissioning
- Monitoring-based commissioning
The role involves both independent work and collaboration within project teams.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in new building commissioning
- Retro-commissioning expertise
- Proven ability to train and support teams on large-scale projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with commissioning software (e.g., Cxalloy)
- Passion for energy efficiency and sustainable design
Preferred Experience:
- Commissioning in lab or healthcare environments
- Monitoring-based commissioning
