Senior Engineer
We're seeking a seasoned Municipal Engineering Leader to support one of our regional clients in driving strategic growth, managing key relationships, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across North Dakota. This role blends leadership, business development, and technical expertise in municipal engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strategic partnerships and pursue new work
- Lead business development and proposal efforts
- Attend industry conferences and represent the firm
- Direct project pursuits and marketing strategies
- Manage client relationships and project opportunities
- Collaborate on staffing and pursuit strategies
- Support sector goals and strategic initiatives
- Report financials and progress to sector leadership
- Recruit for strategic growth positions
- Mentor engineers on contracts, profitability, and risk
- Communicate effectively in public and professional settings
- Stay current on municipal engineering trends and tools
- Participate in municipal leadership meetings
- Ensure ethical, safe, and detail-oriented work
- Engage in professional and community organizations
- Travel and overtime may be required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
- PE license in North Dakota
- 10+ years in municipal engineering, 7+ in project management
- Experience with ND public agencies and utilities
- Proven leadership in consulting and team management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional fieldwork
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel as needed
- May require extended work hours
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 (based on experience and location)
