Construction Business Development Manager - Heavy Civil

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and development initiatives.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $200,000

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project pursuit strategies with internal department leads supporting the overall strategy.
  • Attends and participates in industry outreach and events to build local contacts and identify possible project opportunities.
  • Connects with key industry contacts to promote the company.
  • Organizes pursuit list and updates upper management about priorities and business development activity.
  • Maintains connection with key owners and agencies within the Rocky Mountain region.
  • Prepares and negotiates agreements using approved processes and documentation.
  • Promotes the company and its values and ethics in all interactions with personal and professional contacts.
  • Oversees and supports the collection and creation of proposal documents during all phases of the pursuit process to ensure final product is market quality and includes all required aspects of the request.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and project management
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience in heavy civil construction
  • Able to identify, prioritize, organize, and track construction projects.
  • Proven leadership skills used to identify key internal personnel and drive the pursuit efforts forward..
  • Proven contract negotiation skills preferred.
