Senior Energy Project Manager
A nationally recognized consulting and design firm is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead major initiatives across the renewable and traditional energy sectors. About the Role
This position oversees cross-disciplinary energy projects throughout the U.S., managing civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental permitting, and surveying efforts. Projects span across solar, wind, battery storage (BESS), hydrogen, oil & gas, and electric utility systems. The role requires both technical insight and strong leadership to ensure quality delivery, client satisfaction, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project execution from kickoff through closeout, including safety planning and team coordination.
Manage scope, budget, staffing, and timelines to ensure alignment with client expectations.
Handle billing, reporting, and QA/QC of deliverables.
Prepare and manage project proposals and RFP/RFQ responses.
Act as a main point of contact for clients; maintain strong client relationships.
Mentor and motivate project teams across disciplines.
Represent the firm at industry events and community organizations.
Collaborate across internal teams to align technical and strategic goals.
Participate in marketing and business development planning.
Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred).
10+ years of engineering and project management experience.
PE license or ability to obtain licensure.
Experience in the energy sector (renewables or utilities) highly preferred.
Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and navigating permitting processes.
