Sr Geotechnical Engineer - Austin, TX
We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for technical excellence, client service, and innovative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical and geological evaluations for a wide range of projects.
- Oversee and perform field explorations, sample collection, and subsurface investigations.
- Execute engineering analyses and calculations, including PVR and global stability assessments.
- Develop subsurface designs and deep foundation solutions.
- Prepare, review, and approve proposals and technical reports for projects of varying complexity.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Utilize geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, SLIDE, and VOLFLOW for analysis.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and project protocols.
- Participate in additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering consulting, preferably within Texas.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
- Proven experience with deep foundation systems and ground improvement techniques.
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- TxDOT experience is preferred but not required.
