Position: Structural Engineer

This role is ideal for a civil/structural engineer with a passion for industrial design and a desire to work on a variety of projects from new builds to retrofits in existing facilities. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values communication, creativity, and quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of structural systems for industrial facilities, including equipment supports, foundations, and structural framing using steel, concrete, and masonry
  • Support design decisions that keep projects moving forward efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines (e.g., process and electrical teams) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Coordinate with designers and drafters to develop construction documents
  • Contribute to field investigations and site visits for verification and coordination
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling discussions
  • Grow into a leadership role with mentorship and support from senior engineers

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
  • EIT certification (required); PE licensure or progress toward licensure (preferred)
  • 3-7 years of experience in structural design, ideally within industrial or manufacturing sectors
  • Solid understanding of steel and concrete design principles
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Experience with industrial environments (e.g., pulp and paper, food processing) is a plus
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software and CAD/BIM tools
