Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Chief Technology Officer to lead the company's technology strategy, architecture, and innovation roadmap. Based in Sydney, the CTO will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of the business, overseeing the design and delivery of cutting-edge data center infrastructure, and ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of hyperscale, enterprise, and AI-driven clients.
This is a senior executive role reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with regional sales, operations, and development teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for building scalable, future-ready infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Vision
Define and execute the company's long-term technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business growth, client needs, and industry trends.Data Center Architecture & Innovation
Oversee the design and standardization of data center infrastructure across the region, including power, cooling, network, and security systems - with a focus on hyperscale, AI, and high-density workloads.Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with sales, development, and operations teams to ensure technical excellence and consistency across all projects and client engagements.Sustainability & Efficiency
Drive innovation in energy efficiency, liquid cooling, and sustainable design practices to meet ESG goals and client expectations.Team Building & Mentorship
Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Vendor & Partner Management
Evaluate and manage relationships with key technology vendors, consultants, and partners to ensure best-in-class delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years in senior technology leadership roles within data center, cloud, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, high-availability data center solutions.
- Experience working with hyperscale clients, enterprise workloads, and emerging AI infrastructure.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of data center design principles, including power and cooling systems, network architecture, and Tier standards.
- Familiarity with liquid cooling, modular construction, and sustainability-focused technologies.
Leadership & Influence:
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at board and C-level.
- Collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a passion for mentoring and team development.
