Your role will include both field and office responsibilities, providing a dynamic work experience with exposure to diverse project types and challenges.
Essential Functions
- Provide construction stakeout services, including field setup and quality control for stakeout projects.
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new field crews, CAD drafters, and survey technicians.
- Participate in training staff on construction stakeout procedures, workflows, and best practices.
- Review the performance of field crews, CAD drafters, and survey technicians and offer constructive feedback.
- Perform construction stakeout calculations, as-built surveys, and prepare detailed sketches.
- Prepare grade sheets for construction projects.
- Maintain accountability for plan interpretation and presentation.
- Conduct survey traverse adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and leadership across all business units.
- Work closely with the Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager to support project needs.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction surveying field, with a background in both fieldwork and office tasks.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Solid understanding of field survey operations, engineering principles, and construction industry standards.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
