Drainage Project Manager
We're recruiting for a Drainage Project Manager in North Carolina - multiple offices depending on candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to make an impact on DOT, municipal, and utility projects.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience in hydraulic or water resources engineering, a PE license, and proven ability to manage projects and client relationships. Experience with NCDOT projects is highly desirable.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Hydrology and hydraulic analysis for transportation projects
- Roadway drainage design (stormwater systems, erosion control, outfall analysis)
- Stormwater management and pond design
- Environmental permitting and compliance
- Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, HEC-RAS; familiarity with OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
- Soil erosion and sedimentation control design
Project Experience Should Include
- Designing and managing hydraulic improvements for roadway and drainage projects
- Performing stormwater management system design and water quality BMPs
- Monitoring construction performance and adherence to plans/specifications
- Preparing technical deliverables, drainage studies, and change orders
- Coordinating environmental studies and permitting
- Building client relationships and identifying future project opportunities
- Making formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
